This service is intended for users who already hold a driving licence and who:

  • Must take steps, following an accident (illness or disability), to see an approved doctor and/or a driving licence examiner to confirm their fitness to drive.
  • Wish to update their driving licence following an improvement in their health.

  • Proof of identity (national identity card, passport, etc.)
  • Proof of address less than six months old
  • Passport-size photo (in digital or paper format)

If you wish to send a passport photo in paper format: Download and send the photo-signature submission form

Note: For any envelope containing the photo-signature form that is not sufficiently stamped, your request will not be processed and the envelope will be destroyed.

  • The current driving licence
  • A medical opinion from an approved doctor

    Log in or create an account

    Once you have logged in to your space, click on:

    1. New application
    2. driving licences
    3. Start the Application

    Start the process
    • Choose the reason for your application: "I am applying for a driving licence to be printed",
    • Complete the details for adult/minor then select "Examination (medical reason)"
    • Fill out the personal details and postal address & contact sections

    Add the photo

    There are two ways to provide your photo and signature:

    • Use an e-photo code (digitised photo + signature) obtained from an ANTS-authorised photographer
    • Mail your passport-size photo and the submission form provided at the end of the process

    Add the supporting documents

    Read the summary of the procedure
    • If an error is found in the summary, you can use the "Previous step" button.
    • If the wrong reason is selected, the only option is to delete the application and enter a new one

    Confirm the procedure

    If you are not using an e-photo code, click on "Photo signature submission form"

    This form must be returned with your passport-size photo by post.

    Track its progress in your ANTS space

    Once you have logged into your space, you can view your application on the dashboard.
